Case study for a Manufacturing Company

A Midwest company has manufacturing hubs worldwide. They produce product packaging for many multinationals. They aim to maximize revenue by forecasting client demand and availability of resources. To accomplish this, the following components were built:

  • ARIMA model was used to create forecasts based on client historical data.
  • A web application was built to feed customer forecast data into the model.
  • A resource management application was built that allowed customers to upload their own forecast data.
  • A resource management application that allows supervisors in manufacturing plants to allocate employees to service orders based on availability and relevant proficiency. The app also allows employee to enter timesheets and managers to approve them. Automated testing of these React Web Apps done with Selenium.

Various reports were built on the data gathered.

These systems allow the company to plan and optimize their manufacturing resources on a global level.
